The Maternity Ward is responsible for infant delivery and handles all unforeseen circumstances and emergencies. We also ensure immediate acute care for new-borns with problems.
The team follows WHO principles, which are to create harmonious mother/child relationship by giving support to the patients in their new role as Mother, organising a follow-up visit at home, if necessary.
The Clinique Générale-Beaulieu has three large and harmonious Delivery Rooms, fitted with cutting-edge technology in Obstetrics, Neonatology and Anaesthesiology.
Various equipment facilitates monitoring premature births from the 34th week of pregnancy, (twins too), and allows the Mother the confidence of being able to move around whilst they function.
The Maternity Ward has direct access to the Surgical Unit. However, in a case of emergency one of the rooms is specially designed for surgical procedures.
At the heart of the Obstetrical Unit a Neonatal Intensive Care Section ensures that all eventualities are taken care of. It is equipped with a resuscitation table for infants as well as a transfer incubator. The three Delivery Rooms are supplied with king-size beds that combine comfort and security and allow the patient a choice of various positions during dilation.
For those who wish to relax in the water during labour, one of the Delivery Rooms is fitted with a large bath. Physiotherapy balls are also available to mothers-to-be for relaxation exercises.
The three Delivery Rooms are also livened up by CD player, which enables a personalised choice of music.
