The Clinique Générale Beaulieu is equipped with a post-operative intensive care unit, which is adjacent to the recovery room.
This department was completely renovated in summer 2010 to comply with all the safety standards in force and now has natural light to make it more pleasant for patients and the care-giving team.
The ICU is equipped with 5 monitoring stations one of which is in a single room.
The unit functions 24 hours a day and consists of a care-giving team trained in short-term care
It has the latest technical equipment available to ensure appropriate and effective management consisting of:
- Monitoring units,
- Defibrillator,
- External pacemaker (cardiac stimulator),
- Doppler,
- PCA pumps: a pump that can be programmed to control pain by giving intravenous or epidural analgesic,
- Volumetric pumps and electric syringe pumps,
- Nerve stimulators,
- CPAP (respiratory device ensuring continuous positive airways pressure),
- Respirator.
