Listening, dialogue, conflict resolution
Because we pay attention to our patients’ well being and their concerns we have set up a mediation service to give them the opportunity to talk about any problems they may encounter during their stay in our clinic.
The aim of this service is to :
- Help to form closer ties between healthcare professionals and patients based on better communication and mutual understanding.
- Make our staff aware of the needs of our patients and their relatives.
- To involve our patients in improving the quality of our care.
What is mediation ?
Mediation is a method of conflict resolution based on cooperation between the parties involved, which calls on an impartial and independent third party without decision-making power. The mediator should invite the parties involved to express their expectations, needs and real aims so that they are in a position to find appropriate solutions together. The principle mission of mediation is to re-establish or even establish communication between the parties involved. Mediation is confidential.
When can mediation help ?
- If there are problems with medical staff or the nursing staff during your stay or during a visit to one of our specialist centres.
- To facilitate communication or resume dialogue between our patients and the clinic.
