In all modern hospital wards Physiotherapy plays an increasingly important role in pre- and post-operative care as well as in non-surgical treatments. Physiotherapy is practised through a variety of physical elements (water, heat, cold, electricity, and movement).
The purpose of the Centre for Physical Rehabilitation at the Clinique Générale-Beaulieu is to prevent, maintain, improve or regain the physical functions of our patients.
The Centre is staffed by a group of 15 physiotherapists, all graduates from the best European schools.
State-of-the-art equipment for rehabilitation is available. This includes CO2 lasers, power, soft and mild, isokinetic equipment, Cybex, NORM, all modern electrotherapy techniques, ultrasound, short waves, low and medium frequencies, portable electro-stimulators with personalised programmes, compex and neurotech.
The Physical Rehabilitation Unit's facilities are perfectly co-ordinated with the Sports Medicine unit and the Cardio Plus Centre for cardiac rehabilitation. They are completed by a Hydrotherapy Unit with a mobile base, cloverleaf shaped, hydromassage bath and a heated pool maintained at 35°C. (see photo).
The group of Physiotherapists in the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Unit are all specialised in physical rehabilitation, full postural rehabilitation, manual and mechanical Lymphatic Drainage, Endermology, Osteopathy, rehabilitative exercise, proprioception, muscular strengthening and various types of Massage (relaxing and musculotendonal stimulation).
