In a Clinic that practices all Surgical specialities, it is important that we can rely on an efficient team of anaesthetists to ensure not only our patients' safety in the Surgical Unit, but also during the remainder of their stay.
All the anaesthetists in the Clinic are Specialists having mastered modern anaesthetic techniques (general anaesthetic, local anaesthetic and post-operative pain management). Regular participation in International Congresses and attendance at advanced courses guarantee that their knowledge stays up to date.
A sufficient number of anaesthetists is permanently available in the Surgical Unit to ensure that at least one is always present in every Theatre. This also applies to the Maternity Ward, where an anaesthetist is always available. Our anaesthetists have the latest equipment at their disposal to better facilitate the monitoring of patients in the Operating Theatre as well as in the Recovery Room and Post-Operative Intensive Care Unit. This Unit accommodates patients who require constant attention, either immediately after the operation, or throughout their stay. This attention is provided by a special team of nurses, headed up by the anaesthetist.
