One of the most successful departments at Clinique Générale-Beaulieu is the Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology Unit.
Our staff's impressive skills and the ultra-modern equipment of the Operating Theatre make the Clinic the preferred location for Geneva Orthopaedic Surgeons and their patients. Here they undertake highly complex Surgery (such as arthoplasty: fully articulated prostheses), change prosthetics and perform Spinal Surgery.

The modernity of our Operating Theatres contributes to our Surgeons’ confidence, as does the strict discipline of our hospital staff who have succeeded in maintaining an infection rate of almost zero – touch wood – so far Clinique Générale-Beaulieu has never had any problems with resistant strains of hospital bacteria such as staphylococcus aureus.
Traumatology is practised as a matter of routine thanks to the latest AO equipment (titanium screws and plates, multiple bone nails, external fixatives, etc.), and removable "plaster casts" made from light synthetic material. Arthroscopy of all the joints is displayed directly, while video equipment enables Surgery on the menisci and reconstruction of ligaments, especially in the knee and shoulder. Such Surgery is facilitated by high-quality equipment (shaver, laser, etc).
