Clinic Générale-Beaulieu, as a member of The Swiss Leading Hospitals (SLH) association, has signed an agreement – together with SLH itself – under the terms of which it intends to collaborate closely with CSS Insurance in future. It involves a long-term strategic collaboration between two partners which are leading players in their chosen fields. CSS Insurance acknowledges SLH’s proven quality concept and favours cooperation with the SLH clinics in the area of supplementary health insurance. For health economist Willy Oggier, who accompanied the negotiations between CSS Insurance and SLH, the partnership is a logical move: “This step is a bold one and something of an innovation for both parties, yet it also offers scope for future development.”
The framework agreement signed by CSS Insurance and SLH acknowledges the particular attributes of the different SLH clinics and clearly specifies what clinics offer which specialist strengths, while highlighting the competitive advantages of the SLH clinics: the individual care, personalised medicine, intimate atmosphere and care from a single provider by attending physicians of high repute from various cities and medical disciplines.

With its clinics in the fields of acute somatic care, rehabilitation and psychiatric/psychosomatic medicine, the Swiss Leading Hospitals ensure a nationwide presence throughout Switzerland, covering the entire spectrum of medical disciplines and offering outstanding core expertise, top specialists as well as state-of-the-art medical technology and infrastructure. The stringent SLH quality concept is based on EFQM standards.
This forward-looking partnership will allow the SLH clinics to benefit from the care centre services and hence from the integrated case management of CSS Insurance (here it has been possible to find an independent solution based on partnership which can no longer be compared to the old case management models with their negative image). Moreover it will be possible to boost efficiency in the processes and procedures, thereby optimising cost management – and this will be in addition to superior service quality. For their part, CSS Insurance policyholders will enjoy advantageous access to top-class physicians with no waiting times. In addition, privately insured CSS policyholders will be accorded Gold Member status.
