You will have the full support of a midwife throughout your labour. They will be by your side to provide one-on-one care that meets your needs and expectations at all times. We will let your gynaecologist know that you have arrived and they will also be present during your labour. They will stay in constant contact with your midwife.
Our state-of-the-art technology means that we can monitor your baby’s heart rate and your contractions at the same time. You can also move around freely thanks to our wireless remote monitoring system.
Labour
Our maternity unit has created a calm and caring setting to support you during one of the most emotional and exciting experiences of your life.
We will share the joy and wonder of birth with you and do everything possible for you to cherish those early precious moments with your little one throughout your stay.
A midwife or maternity nurse will check your baby and monitor their progress. They will ensure that your little one gets the best start possible and help you to enjoy skin-to-skin contact straight after birth. They are trained in neonatal resuscitation in line with recommendations from the Swiss Society of Neonatology in order to be able to deliver emergency care as quickly as possible.
An on-call anaesthetist will be available at all times and provide appropriate care if necessary or requested.
Your paediatrician, or alternatively an on-call paediatrician accredited by Clinique Générale-Beaulieu, will be contacted and perform a newborn assessment. They will continue to provide follow-up care throughout your stay.
